A button turns into movement
An Uno and ULN2003 board drive a 5V stepper motor, one button press at a time. A working build with labelled wiring and a downloadable sketch.

I’m George Makarow — a retired master cabinetmaker with 43 years of experience, now exploring electronics, programming, 3D printing, and RC builds.
This is where I share what I’m making, what I’m learning, and the lessons picked up along the way.

01 / Recent experiments
A few projects from the GEOMAC Maker Notebook. Each entry brings together the available photos, videos, code, and connection notes.

ESP32 / Bluetooth
A Bluetooth command from an Android phone switches an LED on and off. A simple experiment with ideas for future wireless controls.

RC / Wi-Fi / 3D printing
Electronics, code, and printed parts come together in my Wi-Fi car. The notebook collects the supplied build files and project photo.

Cabinetmaking taught me to plan carefully, measure accurately, and build from a solid foundation. Those habits follow me into every circuit, line of code, and printed part.
I enjoy PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Python, Arduino programming, and Autodesk Fusion — alongside RC cars, trucks, planes, and helicopters. I’m still learning, and troubleshooting is part of the process.
